OUR CHURCH
We exist to fulfill the Great Commission. Simply put, that is our mission. There is no catchy phrase or slogan. We believe Christ gave us the very instruction and focus intended to be the church He has called us to be.
We are a church body of fallen broken people who have their fair share of faults. But isn't that why He came? We seek to be a church that is rooted in scripture and lives out the attributes Christ modeled for us.
We have a history as a church and as individuals. However, Jesus is not worried about our past. He has plans for our future. We want to be a testimony, proof of a changed life.

MEMBERSHIP
"For as in one body we have many members, and the members do not all have the same function, so we, though many, are one body in Christ, and individually members one of another." Romans 12:4-5
Church membership is not a means of salvation, Becoming a member of CEC or any other church does not assure anyone of eternal life in heaven. Church membership also is not a requirement for worshipping or serving at CEC, and it is not a command found in the Bible. The Bible does tell believers, however, to meet regularly with a group of Christians who love, serve, and encourage one another (see Ephesians 4:16, I Timothy 3:15, and Romans 12:4-5). Some churches link church membership and baptism, but that is not the case at CEC. If you'd like to learn more about baptism, please let us know.
