INFORMATIONAL MEETINGS: There are 2 informational meetings coming up ahead of our Annual Family Gathering (Dec. 3rd) the purpose of these meetings is for you to ask the Elders questions related to the proposed 2018 budget or questions on any other topics. The dates for the meetings will be tonight Nov. 26th @ 6:30 p. m. & Thursday Nov 30th @ 6:30 p. m., both meeting are in the library.
ANNUAL FAMILY GATHERING: We are planning our annual meeting for Sunday, December 3rd after church (approx 11:00 a.m.). Our meeting will run about one hour. We would like for everyone (members and non-members) to attend this meeting. Members in good standing will be voting on the proposed budget for 2018, voting to confirm the current Elders: Jeff Cummins, Rick Eiler, Ed Busjahn, & John Campbell. Voting to confirm the current Deacon: Daryl Schadewaldt, voting to affirm the nominees for Deacon/Deaconess: Mary Conner, Rhonda Giedd, Sherry Maves, Jean Schubert. We will also highlight some of the accomplishments for this year, share our focus/vision for next year and hear from some of our ministry teams. We have copies of the proposed budget, and reports from some of our ministry teams available today for you to take and review prior to the meeting. CHRISTMAS POTLUCK DEC 3rd: We will be having a potluck on Dec 3rd after the Annual Family Gathering. Meat, drink and table service will be provided. Each family is asked to bring a side dish or dessert. BASKETBALL OPEN GYM: To be held on Monday evenings staring at 5:30 pm. It will be open to church family and their friends. OPPORTUNITY FOR SERVICE: Gary Hutmacher has agreed to lead the Usher Team for another year and Belva Schulz has agreed to coordinate the Sanctuary Greeter Team for 2018. Please contact Gary or Belva to reserve a month where you can help in these areas. WOMEN’S SMALL GROUP: Thursday’s at 7:00 p.m. at the Giedd”s home. All women are invited to come be a part of this group. They are studying “Jonah” by Priscilla Shirer. PROCLAIM & SOUND BD: We need people to run the computer and sound board in the sanctuary. If interested please contact Cindy SUNDAY SCHOOL: All are welcome to join Rick Eiler’s Sunday School class in the gym each Sunday 15 minutes after the church service is over. Starting on Dec 10th the class will be studying Genesis. PRAYER REQUEST FORMS: If anyone has a prayer request that they would like the prayer team to pray about, fill out the blue Prayer Card that is in the pew and place it in the offering plate. VILLAGE NEWSPAPER AVAILABLE: Copies of the Nov. Echoes of Cedarville village newspaper are available on the table in the Welcome Center for those who are interested. FACC DONATION BOX: A donation box is available in the Welcome Center for anyone who would like to contribute non-perishable food items or personal care products such as soap, toothbrushes, toothpaste, etc. Donations will be taken to FACC for distribution. HOMETOUCH: Copies of the Nov. HomeTouch paper are available on the table in the Welcome Center for anyone who would like one. They are great to take to shut-ins or the home bound. CHRISTMAS DECORATING PARTY: We are asking for your help to decorate the church for Christmas. Today, Nov. 19, we need people to help bring all the Christmas trees and decorations upstairs after the service. On Monday, Nov. 20, we are going to start decorating around 4:00 pm so come whenever you can make it. The more people that come and help, the faster it will go! COMMUNITY THANKSGIVING DINNER: Once again, we will host a Community Thanksgiving Dinner on Thanksgiving Day, November 23rd, from 11 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. Janet Fye is purchasing most of the items. She is asking for cash donations, which, should be put in the brown envelope marked “Thanksgiving Dinner” that are in the pew and put in the offering plate. Daryl & Tillie Schadewaldt will lead the dinner on Thursday. Sign-up sheets for salads, desserts and helpers for Wed. & Thur. will be passed around during church again today.
