BAPTISM SERVICE: Today Sunday, January 26th, at 6pm, our church will be holding a special baptism service at the Fitness Lifestyles swimming pool in Freeport. You are invited to come out and support those being baptized and to be part of this special celebration. If you are a believer in Christ but have never followed the Lord in believer’s baptism and would like to be baptized at this service, please contact Pastor Craig. After the Baptism we will go to Maria’s Pizza for a time of fellowship (Dutch Treat).
VBS MEETING: We will have a VBS meeting today, January 26 after the service in the south classroom in gym for anyone that plans to help this year. DEACONESS MEETING: Sunday, February 9th at 8:00 AM in the Church Library. PRAYER TEAM MEETING: Sunday, February 9th after church in the Welcome Center. SANCTITY OF HUMAN LIFE SUNDAY: This year in recognition of Sanctity of Human Life Sunday we are supporting the life-giving ministry of the Freeport Pregnancy Center. This ministry in our community reaches out to women who are facing an unplanned pregnancy and equips them to choose life for their child. Please be sure to pick up a Baby Bottle that is located on the table in the foyer and over the next few weeks, please fill it with change, bills, or even a check. Your spare change can mean that those facing an unplanned pregnancy have the opportunity to choose life. Bottles will be collected on Sunday, February 16th. WOMENS BIBLE STUDY: Jeannie class is studying the book of “Jude: Contending for the Faith in Today’s Culture”. This is taught by Jackie Hill-Perry, facilitated by Jeannie. Jackie Hill-Perry is a gifted young poet and speaker who has a powerful testimony. This should be a great encouragement to us as we live as Jesus would have us to live in an ungodly world. We hope you will join us Sunday mornings during the S.S. hour. NAV. 2:7 DISCIPLESHIP STUDY TODAY: John’s class is studying book #2 of the Navigators 2:7 discipleship series "Deepening Your Roots in God's Family". Class will be in the northeast classroom of the Fellowship Hall during the Sunday School time (class will begin 15 minutes after the worship service. SUNDAY SCHOOL: Rick’s class is studying the Book of Matthew. All are invited to attend. LADIES BIBLE STUDY: A six week video study on Thursday’s, at 7 pm at Rhonda Giedd’s home. This study is called “It’s Not Supposed To Be This Way” by Lysa Terkeurst. TRAINING ON AED EQUIPMENT: Anyone that would like to get trained to use the AED at the church can attend a class on Thursday, February 27th from 5:30 - 6:30 p.m. at the Freeport Public Library. This is just training, you will not be certified. ANNUAL CHILI/SOUP/SANDWICH/DESSERT LUNCH: The annual meeting of the Cedarville Area Historical Society and the society’s traditional Chili/Soup/Sandwich/Dessert Lunch will be held on Sunday, February 2nd from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Cedarville Museum. Cost is $6 for adults and $2 for children under 12. Tickets are available at the door. VILLAGE NEWSPAPER AVAILABLE: Copies of the Feb Echoes of Cedarville village newspaper are available on the table in the Welcome Center for those who are interested. OUR DAILY BREAD DEVOTIONALS AVAILABLE: Copies of the Jan, Feb, Mar edition of the Our Daily Bread devotionals are available in the foyer & Welcome Center. KIDS CLUB (AGES 5 YRS OLD - 6TH GRADE: Kids Club is on Wednesday nights at 7:00 pm. Invite any children that you know . This is a great ministry opportunity to work with the youth in our community. COPIES OF ANY SERMON: We have sermons on our website (www.cedarec.org). Select: Menu, Ministries, Sermon Player. Copies are also available in the Welcome Center. BASKETBALL OPEN GYM: It will be open to church family and friends and will be held on Monday evenings starting at 5:30 p.m. Please contact Mitch Giedd if you have any questions. PRAYER REQUEST FORMS: If anyone has a prayer request that they would like the prayer team to pray about, fill out the blue card that is in the pew and place it in the offering plate. HOMETOUCH: Copies of the Jan HomeTouch paper are available on the table in the Welcome Center for anyone who would like one. They are great to take to shut-ins or the home bound. FACC DONATION BOX: A donation box is available in the Welcome Center for anyone who would like to contribute non-perishable food items or personal care products such as soap, toothbrushes, toothpaste, etc. Donations will be taken to FACC. FAITH COMMUNITY NURSING: The 1st & 3rd Sunday of each month Lori Allen, a registered nurse will be available after the service in the library to help with any health questions you might have.
