INFORMATIONAL MEETINGS: There are 2 informational meetings coming up ahead of our Annual Family Gathering (Dec. 4th) where you will be able to ask questions of the Elders. The dates for the meetings will be tonight, Sunday Nov. 27th @ 6:30 p. m. & Thursday Dec. 1st @ 6:30 p. m., both meeting will be held in the library.
ELDER AFFIRMATION: Ed Busjahn has been nominated to become a member of the Elder Board. He will need to be affirmed at our annual Family Gathering on Sunday, December 4th. ANNUAL FAMILY GATHERING: We are planning our annual meeting for Sunday, December 4th after church (approx 11:00 a.m.). Our meeting will run about one hour. We would like everyone to try and attend this meeting as we will be going over our budget and voting. We have copies of the budget available today for you to take and review before our meeting. FAMILY GATHERING CHRISTMAS POTLUCK: Sunday, December 4th after the meeting. Table service, meat, buns and drink will be provided. Please bring 1 or 2 dishes to share. Hope you can stay for this time of fellowship as we look forward to a new year and the possibilities it will bring for our church. CHRISTMAS DINNER: The Christmas Dinner that was scheduled for Sunday evening, December 11th has been cancelled. Please join us for a potluck after the Family Gathering meeting instead. SUNDAY SCHOOL: All are welcome to join Rick Eiler’s Sunday School in the gym each Sunday 15 minutes after the church service is over. They are studying 1 & 2 Thessalonians. YOUTH BIBLE STUDY: Ryan Gahm will lead a video Bible Study “Not A Fan”. This is for High School and College age students. 10:45 Sunday mornings in the youth room. SERVING TOGETHER: Clipboards will be passed through the pews today for people who would like to sign up for a specific month to be a Greeter or Usher in 2017. BASKETBALL OPEN GYM: Open gym will be starting on Monday November 14th. It will be open to church family and their friends and will be held on Monday evenings from 5:30 - 7:30 p.m. Please contact Paul Schindler if you have any questions. WOMEN’S SMALL GROUP: Thursday’s, at 7:00 pm. All women are invited to come be a part of this group. They will meet in the large classroom on the south side of the gym. If you have any questions contact Erica Giedd @ 815-990-8992. VILLAGE NEWSPAPER AVAILABLE: Copies of the Nov. Echoes of Cedarville village newspaper are available on the table in the Welcome Center for those who are interested. COPIES OF ANY SERMON: We have sermons on our website (www.cedarec.org). Select: Menu, Ministries, Sermons. If you would rather have a CD, there are copies available in the Welcome Center. HOMETOUCH: Copies of the Nov HomeTouch paper are available on the table in the Welcome Center for anyone who would like one. They are great to take to shut-ins or the home bound. CONGRATULATIONS: Congratulations to Rob & Kellie Wand on the arrival of a new son. Zachary Pope Wand was born on November 14. He weighted 8 lbs and measured 22 inch long.
