BRUCE DONKER SUNDAY SCHOOL CLASS: “Sometimes God gives us more than we can handle…alone.”Join us as we start a six part video series “Acts Of God” in April. This will be presented as a Sunday School class and a Small Group study. Your leaders are Bruce and Susie Donker. The study will begin on Sunday, April 17th and Tuesday April 19th. The Sunday/Tuesday sessions will be the same, so if you miss Sunday morning, you may come Tuesday night. ENDLESS LOVE AND SECOND CHANCES: The wife of Medal of Honor recipient Sammy Davis shares their love story through grief, faith, and joyful new beginnings. Sherry Maves co-wrote this book with Dixie Davis. There will be a book signing on March 8th at 6:00 pm at the Freeport Public Library. COMMUNITY LENTEN SERVICES: The Stateline Ministerial Association has organized the following Community Lenten Services: Tonight, Feb 28th - Rev Bob Kolb at Freeport Mennonite; Mar 6th - Rev Scott Naevestad at Dakota Community Presbyterian Mar 13th - Rev David Schrader at Indian Grove Country Church; Mar 18 - at xxx (1:00 p.m.). All Sunday services will begin at 6:30 p.m. unless otherwise noted and everyone is asked to bring canned food for Faith Church of Davis and their food pantry. Child Care will be provided. MOONLIGHT BOWLING: All those that have signed up to go moonlight bowling on Saturday, February 27th should plan to be at Spare times Lanes in Lena at least 15 minutes early so you are ready to start bowling at 7:00. In Growing Up Christian, the author seeks to help teenagers who have grown up in the church by reminding them of the many blessings of growing up in a Christian home, warning them of some of the dangers they face, providing practical suggestions for avoiding these dangers, and urging them to think and live in a way that pleases God.
