BENEVOLENT OFFERING: We will take a benevolent offering next Sunday, January 21st at the end of the service.
OPPORTUNITY FOR SERVICE: Clipboards are on the table in the foyer with offering plate for people to sign up for a specific month to be a Sanctuary Greeter, Door Greeter or Usher in 2024. CHANGE FOR LIFE: For over 30 years, individuals and churches like ours have been coming together to make sure that women in our community considering abortion have the support they need to choose life. Through the Change for Life campaign with Lifeline Coalition we have the opportunity to make pregnancy tests, ultrasounds, and counseling available to these women. Since the overturning of Roe vs. Wade, Illinois has seen the largest increase in abortions out of every other state in the US. This makes our state attractive to abortion providers looking to make money off the death of the unborn. Last year, an abortion clinic opened in Rockford, and a second clinic is under construction there now! Last June, Lifeline Coalition joined arms with our brothers and sisters in the Rockford area to defend life by opening a second clinic! You can be a part of this stand for life by participating in this year’s Change for Life campaign starting next week January 21st, please pick up an empty baby bottle from the foyer then. You can take it home, and over the next few weeks, fill it with coins, bills, or checks. We will then collect the bottles here at church on February 18th. Your donation means that the next woman in our community considering an abortion will have somewhere to go to get the support she needs to choose life! 815.232.5433 www.lifelinecoalition.org SUNDAY SCHOOL SERIES: Rick’s Sunday school January schedule: First 3 Sunday’s the class will review the history of Israel in the Old Testament.
