TODAY’S SCHEDULE: Ed & Val Schubert, our missionaries in Honduras will be our guest speakers today. We will also have a questions/answer time if anyone has some questions for them, followed by Sunday School . We are going to take a LOVE OFFERING for them at the end of their presentation.
SUNDAY SCHOOL: Bruce will be presenting the video series "Not A Fan" starting today, October 4. This is a short six week experience to discover where we stand – are we a “follower” of Christ – or just a fan? The class will be held in the back left room in the gym. It is for all teens and adults. Rick Eilers will continue to teach his class on Hebrews. Please pick a class and enjoy. KIDS CLUB: Wednesday night Kids Club (age 4 - 6th grade) will be starting on Oct 7th at 7:00 pm. Coordinator Cathy Hull needs some helpers. Please contact her if your willing to help on Wed. nights. YOUTH EVENT: On Sunday, October 11th @ 2:00 all the youth 7 - 12 grade are invited to the Knipschield home for a fun day of football/ pumpkin-carving/hayride/bonfire. Don’t miss it! 6TH ANNUAL RRBC CHICK FEST—FAITH, FRIENDSHIP & FONDUE: This years event will be October 16-18 and is open to ALL woman 18-99! Registration forms can be found in the Welcome Center or at www.rockriverbiblecamp.org . Mark you calendars now for a great time of food, fun and fellowship! Forms due to Wendy Dietmeier by 10/9/15. Any questions, contact Rhonda or Wendy! WOMEN’S FELLOWSHIP: Saturday, October 24th at 2:00 at the Church. Come visit and get to know each other. All ages wanted and welcome. For God has not destined us for wrath, but to obtain salvation through our Lord Jesus Christ, who died for us…therefore, encourage one another and build one another up… I Thessalonians 5: 9 - 11 OUR DAILY BREAD DEVOTIONALS AVAILABLE: Copies of the Sep, Oct, & Nov edition of the Our Daily Bread devotionals are available in the Welcome Center. COPIES OF ANY SERMON: We have sermons on our website (www.cedarec.org). Select: Menu, Ministries, Sermons. If you would rather have a CD, there are copies available in the Welcome Center. HARVEST PARTY: We need someone to coordinate this years Harvest Party that will be on Saturday, October 31st. We have lots of helpers so if a couple of those people want to work together to coordinate this great outreach event we would greatly appreciate it. Contact the church office if you are willing to be a coordinator. LIVING LAST SUPPER DVD: The DVD’s are available to anyone that would like a copy. We are asking for a $5 donation to cover the cost of making them. The DVD’s are in the Welcome Center. SHUT-INS: We have copies available of our shut-ins’ names and addresses in the Welcome Center for anyone who would like one. OCTOBER BIRTHDAY/ANNIVERSARY LIST AVAILABLE. Copies of the October birthday/anniversary list are available in the welcome center for those who were not here when they were distributed. DONATIONS WANTED: If anyone is interested in donating body lotion, body wash, shampoo and deodorant for the men and women in the Alzheimer's Ward at Stephenson Nursing Center we have a container in the Welcome Center. These items will be given to the people at Christmas. If you have any questions please see Dawn Mathiot. HOMETOUCH: Copies of the October HomeTouch paper are available on the table in the Welcome Center for anyone who would like one. They are great to take to shut-ins or the home bound. FACC DONATION BOX: A donation box is available in the Welcome Center for anyone who would like to contribute non-perishable food items or personal care products such as soap, toothbrushes, toothpaste, etc. Donations will be taken to FACC for distribution. THANKSGIVING DINNER: We want to remind everyone that the Thanksgiving dinner is only a few months away. Tillie Schadewaldt will coordinate it and Janet Fye will plan to purchase the food and cook the turkeys again this year. We are going to need the church families help on Wednesday and Thursday, as well as help with cash donations.
